Belkis is a professional with solid experience of more than 34 years as former Director of the AFS in Honduras, in education and intercultural learning, administrative management of non-profit associations that work with volunteers and exchange programs. She has a degree in Journalism from the National Autonomous University of Honduras, as well as a Diploma in Intercultural Education from the Javeriana University of Colombia and a Certificate of Qualified Facilitator of the Intercultural Learning Program “AFS Intercultural Link”. Professional experience also in intercultural negotiations, crisis management, and the communications area, translation and writing in Spanish and English. Active volunteer of the Honduran Associations “AFS Honduras”, “MUA Women in the Arts” and at the international level of “Wanny Angerer in Moving Cultures”.
In her spare time, she likes reading, writing short stories, oil painting, art in general, movies, and sharing time with family and friends.
