María Patricia Ardón Quezada

Patricia is a proud Guatemalan woman, feminist, with a degree in Social Anthropology. From a young age she has fought for social justice working at the community level in Guatemala, the Mesoamerican region, and globally, for both local social movements and international organizations. Patricia serves as the Regional Director of JASS Mesoamerica where she focuses on knowledge production and is part of the JASS global Leadership Team.

Patricia has accomplished a lot of work around conflict management in situations of armed conflict and peace building. She’s written articles and published several works related to regional contexts, the construction of peace and the contribution of women to these processes, as well as designed and facilitated training processes, with emphasis in recent years on Feminist Popular Education. Patricia loves reading literature, swimming and cooking. She also enjoys knitting a lot! Patricia deeply believes in equality and social justice and in a feminism that is built in collectivity and with love.
