Laura is a dual Mexican/US citizen, political analyst, media commentator, grassroots movement organizer and a mother, based in Mexico City. Working with regional and cross-regional teams, Laura contributes to and assists in coordination of advocacy and international solidarity (with a focus on US-Mesoamerica), writing, communications and strategic analysis.
Laura directed the independent international relations think tank, the Americas Program, for nearly two decades and is also a columnist and television and radio commentator. She loves to garden, cook meals for loved ones and sing the blues. Laura believes wholeheartedly in the power of organized women to create a better world and takes inspiration from the movements and people she works with.
