Zukiswa is a pan-Africanist and queer-feminist social justice consultant, activist-organizer and popular educator based in Johannesburg, South Africa committed to African and indigenous people, the working class, the LGBTQI community and women and children. Zukiswa is responsible for leading implementation of the Southern Africa region in-country strategy. She also works with the cross regional communications team to contribute to global communications and visibility for Southern Africa. Zukiswa joins the team with a decade experience working in movements (including co-founding and leading community based organizations) across a variety of socio-political-economic issues including land justice; race justice; educational inequality; and LGBTQI justice. During her free time, she enjoys marrying her commitment to political activism with her passion for arts and cultural production. She believes firmly that Love is always the ‘why’, and it is this perspective that informs her work and how she shows up in the world; personally, politically and otherwise.
