Mirriam Munthali

Organizer, 'Our Bodies, Our Lives'
Malawi

Mirriam Munthali from Malawi is an activist from “Our bodies, Our lives Movement ” (OBOL). She works for JASS SNA as an Independent Consultant supporting the in-country processes including compiling reports, documenting women crossing the line stories, administrative and other related support. The interesting thing is that I am from the “OBOL” movement; JASS has impacted me with knowledge and skills through different platforms and trainings like Feminist movement Building School and taking from my previous work as a principle facilitator with Paradizo TB Patient’s Trust, I am able to connect and socialise with women as a popular educator. In my free time, I love to dance. I am also writing a book that will help to motivate audiences and bring energies during the trainings. Through the safe spaces that I have had with women, I believe trust is end, the confidentiality and empathy that I have for women makes them share their stories to the extent that they allow me to document their stories on how their lives have improved
