Desti is a woman activist based in Jakarta, Indonesia, gender based violence specialist, counselor, mother with 2 teenage children who dedicates her time to womenās development in the eastern part of Indonesia. In her role, Desti works with 5 women’s rights organizations to increase their strategic capacity. She also manages the Women’s Voices and Leadership Indonesia project via planning, implementation and evaluation in addition to report writing and grant management. Prior to joining the JASS team Desti was involved in Gender Based Violence Prevention Project in PapuaĀ and also served as the Commisioner of National Commision on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan). During her free time, Desti enjoys travelling, cooking (especially try new recipes), and watching Korean dramas or movies. Desti believes that developing young, grass-root women into feminist leaders is one way to uphold a just world.
