JASS is thrilled to be part of the 15th AWID International Forum, a vibrant global gathering of over 3,000 feminists, activists, and social justice advocates on December 2–5 in Bangkok, Thailand.

2. JASS Live Schools

- December 5: 10:45 AM – 12:30 PM
Join us for these interactive, in-person sessions to explore how to understand our moment, envision the thriving future we dream of, build transformative power, and strengthen movement strategy. Each live day will be opened with embodied storytelling led by Root. Rise. Pollinate!
- Day 1: Connecting with Our Contexts
- What is happening in our contexts to our bodies, rights, lands, and agendas?
- What can we learn from our ancestors and histories to feed our resistance?
- Day 2: Dreaming and Visioning a Transformed Future
- What is our gift to the future?
- What world are we planting seeds for?
- Day 3: Healing as Transformative Power
- What are our sources of power, and how do we tap and build them?
- How can movements give rise to transformative change?
- Day 4: Thriving Through Strategy and Change
- Is transformative change possible?
- What kinds of strategies will bring about transformative change?
Each session will feature thought-provoking discussions, collaborative activities, and inspiring content that will serve to build community and connect, heal, and thrive.

- Join JASS’ Laura Zúñiga as part of the Power Up! Consortium and feminist leaders in a conversation about rethinking economic systems to center equity, sustainability, and justice.
- Melting Pot Event: Fostering Cultures of Care for African Women Human Rights Defenders

- Join Phumi Mtetwa, Regional Director for JASS Southern Africa, along with fellow activists for a conversation hosted by Urgent Action Fund-Africa, in partnership with the Foundation for a Just Society that will explore key issues, trends, and resources related to sustaining the vital work of African Women Human Rights Defenders (AWHRDs).
