Mesoamerica - Countries

JASS Mesoamerica works with and supports women activists and their organizations, placing special emphasis on three of the most dangerous countries in the region: Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico.

JASS Mesoamerica aims to strengthen, build upon and leverage the knowledge, experience, strategies and actions of our local partners. We do this by forging and helping to sustain regional alliances between activists and organizations in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. We connect and mobilize national organizations and campaigns to respond to the needs and challenges of our individual country partners. JASS uses its inter-regional and regional perspective to tap into opportunities to amplify women’s national initiatives by building and mobilizing stronger alliances, promoting our shared goals to increase organized women’s political influence and create conditions to better protect the safety and wellbeing of women activists.
