Adelaide was born and raised in Zimbabwe. She completed her BA and BA Honors at Rhodes University and Witwatersrand University in South Africa, respectively. With two degrees in sociology and a minor in law, she decided to study a Master in Social Work (MSW) at Rutgers University to gain field experience. Through this degree, Adelaide completed internships at Who is my neighbor? and Women Aware where she dealt with issues affecting women and young girls, namely, domestic violence, human trafficking and teen dating violence. Adelaide has also worked as a research assistant for the Center for Violence against Women and Children at Rutgers University focusing on multi level bystander intervention and sexual violence.

Adelaide loves feminist writings from Bell Hooks, Audre Lorde, Simone de Beauvoir, Judith Butler, Wendy Brown, Susan Bordo, Naomi Wolf-only to name a few. In her free time, Adelaide enjoys interrogating her inquisitive thoughts through reading and writing.
