Civil Society Watch: government's commitment to action

From September 25-27, over 150 world leaders will converge at the United Nations headquarters in New York for the UN Sustainable Development Summit to adopt what has been described as an ambitious development agenda. Join JASS and dozens of organizations on Sept. 27  for a parallel event, “Civil Society Watch: Governments’ Commitment to Action” to monitor global leaders’ commitment to advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment. In Defense of Life: conclusions of the Mission of International Society Observers about the situation of human rights defenders in Mexico

On Tuesday, September 29, join us in Geneva during the 30th Session of the UN Human Rights Council to hear from experts on the situation of human rights in Mexico, including Ben Leather (ISHR), Christina Kokkinakis (EU Delegation to the UN), and Olga Guzman (Mexican Commission for the Defense and Promotion of Human Rights). Honduras and the Torches of Indignation

The UPR Platform Honduras-which JASS is a member-and Peace Brigades International invite you to this side event this Thursday, September 24, from 16:30 to 18:00 in room XXI, Palais des Nations. Translation will be provided from Spanish to English.
