Lutong Baybay (Seaside Recipes) is a Zine Cookbook created by writers, artists, and women from coastal communities in Dumaguete City, Philippines in partnership with JASS Southeast Asia. The Zine was created as a creative protest against development aggression happening in the Philippines, namely the 174-hectare Reclamation Project. The reclamation project threatens the communities, livelihoods, and diverse ecosystems of Dumaguete City. The Zine highlights the integral connection the coastal communities have with the sea and the generational struggle for their right to livelihood and to preserve their resources. It includes the narratives and experiences of women that are leading this struggle in their own homes and communities.
